As on the of the big three credit reporting bureaus, Equifax is a household name for borrowers and lenders alike.  Now the agency is getting into the blogging game, despite the obvious stiff competition from dedicated personal finance blogs.

The Equifax Personal Finance Blog launched this week.  There’s been one post per day covering a range of subjects. The site is set up to showcase major topics including credit, insurance, real estate, retirement and taxes.

There appears to be a dedicated author for most categories, and you can read their bios on the site.

This is good information from a trusted name in the credit space and helpful for those looking to get out of debt.  But having a blog may simply be another way for Equifax to get more customers for its various consumer credit products, which include credit scores, identity theft protection and the Debt Wise debt repayment system.
